A Fairytale World Turned Upside Down
“Murals” is an isometric action-adventure game set within the familiar worlds of Hansel and Gretel, The Little Mermaid, and Rapunzel, but with a decidedly different spin. Forget everything you think you know about these stories! In “Murals,” Rapunzel’s hair might be trying to kill her, and Sleeping Beauty is suffering from chronic insomnia, having not slept in weeks!
Players will take control of an unnamed hero who navigates this bizarre world, collecting “Eeries” β mystical items that enhance the character’s abilities. These aren’t your average power-ups; they range from boosting weapon damage (like Strength In Misery, which deals extra damage to enemies with status effects) to providing direct buffs to the player (Thorny allows you to deal damage back to attackers).
Developed and published by Dlala Studios, “Murals” represents the studio’s first original IP in over a decade. Known for their work on titles like Battletoads and the recent Disney Illusion Island, Dlala is clearly aiming to deliver a unique and memorable gaming experience with this new project.
