A New Era for Wraeclast
The announcement came during the Gamescom Opening Night Live event, where a stunning new gameplay trailer showcased Path of Exile 2 in action. The trailer offered a glimpse into the game’s narrative and highlighted the enhanced combat system, which appears to be significantly faster and more fluid than its predecessor. Players can expect the same incredible level of character customization with hundreds of active and passive skills, allowing for truly unique builds.
One of the key focuses for Path of Exile 2 is the endgame experience. Grinding Gear Games aims to deliver a vast array of content, including over 100 maps and challenging boss encounters, ensuring that players will have plenty to keep them engaged long after completing the main campaign.
Free-to-Play Forever
While an early access version of Path of Exile 2 was released in December 2024 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, the developers have confirmed that the full 1.0 version will be completely free to play. This means anyone can dive into the world of Wraeclast without spending a dime.
