Gamer24h Editor's Take

Having closely reviewed Edwin’s 2015 Seven Day Roguelike, the Gamer24h editorial team considers it one of the most noteworthy titles of recent times. Developer Edwin DeNicholas has done a remarkable job of drawing players into its world, earning our admiration with its attention to detail. Its innovative take on the RPG genre offers a breath of fresh air for fans of the category. If you're looking for an absorbing world and satisfying mechanics that pull you right in, this game might be exactly what you've been searching for.

A roguelike computer video game developed in seven days as part of the International Seven Day Roguelike Challenge.

In this RL, you possess (haunt) enemies in the dungeon, but you can only do so for a limited time before the host starts dying. If the host dies with you in it, it’s game over.

The controls are bit unconventional from classic RLs, You click and hold in the game space to extend a cursor to any spot you can see. If you have a clear path to that spot, then you can move there, but it costs extra energy to do so. The twist here is that moving farther in a single turn may cost more energy, but it also builds up your strength. More strength means that your attacks will be more effective.

Keep an eye on your energy, when it gets low you will need to possess a new host.

Find the stairs to beat the level and move on to the next. My high score is 4 levels, can you beat it?
