1915: Envío y posterior examen de los cables secretos entre Rusia y Turquía

Publicado:

The Nature and Content of the Treaty The Straits Treaty, or the Treaty of Istanbul, was a secret agreement signed between the Triple Entente during World War I. According to the treaty, the Bosphorus and Dardanelles, including the capital of the Ottoman Empire, Istanbul, were left to Russia.

The Treaty was signed to enter into force if Britain won the Battle of Gallipoli, but the defeat of the war caused the treaty to remain in force. In addition, the Treaty was announced to the public after the October Revolution in Russia, when the Bolsheviks took power and withdrew from the war, but the British and French parties denied the existence of such a treaty, claiming that it was fabricated by the Bolsheviks.
