With the launch of bağlantı”>Grand Theft Auto 6 just over a month away, Nintendo is facing questions about whether its next console can run Rockstar’s open-world game. The title launches Nov. 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a PC release to follow later — consistent with the studio’s usual staggered rollout.
Nintendo of America president Devon Pritchard recently spoke about the Switch 2’s potential in an interview with bağlantı”>Variety, saying “we’re just at the beginning of seeing what the Nintendo Switch 2 can do.” She expressed hope that improved graphical performance would attract more third-party AAA titles and demonstrate that the console offers experiences beyond its traditional kids- and families-oriented library.
On whether GTA 6 will come to the Switch 2, Pritchard declined to make any promises. “That’s going to be a conversation for Take-Two and Rockstar, but nothing to announce on my end at this time,” she said.

One example of expanding third-party support is bağlantı”>Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which Pritchard noted will arrive on the console later this year — bringing the franchise to Nintendo systems for the first time in over a decade.
Nintendo celebrates Zelda’s 40th anniversary
This year also marks the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda, which Nintendo plans to mark with several projects. A live-action movie is scheduled for release on April 30, 2027, while a remake of bağlantı”>Ocarina of Time is coming later this year.
Nintendo also used the bağlantı”>Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Direct to announce plans for a very limited concert series.
Pritchard said she hopes these releases and events will attract both newcomers and longtime fans. Regarding future plans for Zelda and other properties, she added that “anything we’re going to do is going to be deliberate and thoughtful.”
