Rockstar Games has officially unveiled the lineup of radio stations set to fill the world of Grand Theft Auto VI, launching a dedicated website that lets players preview some of the broadcasts ahead of the game’s November 19 release. The announcement confirms what many fans had long suspected: the upcoming open-world title will feature celebrity-hosted stations curated by names such as Lana Del Rey and Morgan Wallen, alongside Bad Bunny, Burna Boy, Kerry King, Tom Araya, Robyn, and Trick Daddy. Rockstar described GTA 6’s audio landscape as the “biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio yet,” a claim backed by the sheer variety of genres represented across the stations revealed so far.
The newly launched site offers an early listen at several of the broadcasts that players will encounter within Leonida, the fictional Southern state that serves as GTA 6’s setting. Each station is fronted by a distinct personality voiced by its real-world celebrity counterpart, blending in-character storytelling with carefully chosen tracklists. The move follows Rockstar’s long tradition of using radio as both world-building device and cultural commentary, but this year’s roster marks one of the most high-profile uses of A-list musicians as on-air hosts in the series’ history.
A Wide Array of Stations Takes Shape
The confirmed stations span a broad musical spectrum, underscoring Rockstar’s ambition to capture the sonic diversity of its setting. Cocoteo FM positions itself as Leonida’s home for modern Latin music, hosted by El Martillo—voiced by Bad Bunny—and La Gata, voiced by RaiNao, spinning everything from bachata and merengue to dembow and reggaeton. For country fans, Back Country Radio sends MW, played by Morgan Wallen, and Delta Dawne, voiced by Lana Del Rey, blasting renegade tunes across the Grassrivers and Port Gellhorn regions, complete with a roving reporter and swamp meteorologist named Mud Dog Mike.

The roster continues with AfroBank FM, where Burna Boy and Palms Trax curate African music from 20th-century classics to contemporary amapiano; The Chamber 106.6, in which Kerry King and Tom Araya channel classic metal through DJ personas; Flash FM, Robyn’s pop destination alongside Alex Consani; and Dirty South Classics, where Trick Daddy and Trina blast regional rap and hip-hop staples. While Rockstar has not yet confirmed the complete tracklist before launch, this selection alone signals a playlist that could include artists such as Charli XCX, MGMT, DJ Khaled, and Black Sabbath.

A Long-Awaited Feature Arrives on Foot
Beyond the station lineup, Rockstar revealed a significant gameplay enhancement that has been among fans’ most persistent requests for years. GTA 6 will allow players to listen to on-demand podcasts and radio stations while exploring on foot, using a pair of headphones connected to their in-game smartphone. Previously, radio was largely confined to vehicles and select indoor locations, meaning the soundtrack could not accompany players during extended periods spent traversing Leonida’s landscape. This change lets music play freely during combat, exploration, and countless other moments—transforming how the game’s rich audio design integrates with open-world freedom.
This radio announcement arrives just hours after roughly 25 minutes of new GTA 6 gameplay footage leaked online, sourced from Cyberleek, the figure responsible for a major wave of gameplay leaks earlier in August. Rockstar has not publicly responded to the leaked footage but appears to be leaning into its official marketing push, using the station reveals as a distraction from the unauthorized content flooding the internet.

Looking Ahead
The radio details complement other recent coverage of GTA 6, including an interview transcript published by IGN with Rob Nelson, co-head of Rockstar North. Nelson demoed the game for IGN over the summer and shared a range of new information about its world and mechanics during that conversation, offering additional context as anticipation builds toward launch.
GTA 6 is scheduled to arrive on November 19 for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Rockstar has not indicated whether it will publish the full radio tracklist before release, but the stations confirmed so far suggest a soundtrack designed to become one of the most talked-about elements of the game’s world once players begin exploring Leonida in earnest.
