Delving into the Temple Isle Cave
The journey to assemble the Feline armor begins on Temple Isle, the northernmost island in Novigrad, where the base armor diagrams are hidden within a cave on the island’s north side.
The cave’s entrance is sealed behind an illusory rock that can only be dispelled using Keira Metz’s Eye of Nehaleni, an item obtained through her associated questline.
Players can locate the cave by heading to the northwesternmost house on Temple Isle and following the path that snakes around it, descending the trail into the cavern. Within, a formidable golem guards the passage, and beyond it lies a chamber lined with statues arranged in a circle. Pulling the lever beside each statue until they all face inward opens a pool inhabited by drowners, at the bottom of which rests the key required to proceed.
Confronting Mad Kiyan
After retrieving the key, players must return to the main chamber and use it to unlock the door behind the golem. Beyond it awaits Mad Kiyan, a crazed witcher whose defeat yields the armor diagrams. A laboratory log found on his body also points players toward the location of the Feline Crossbow, extending the hunt further across the Novigrad region.
The Feline gear rewards bold, precise play—striking from the shadows and punishing opponents who dare to turn their backs.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
The Feline Crossbow can be recovered from the wreck of the Flying Stag ship, situated on an island off the coast of west Novigrad, west of Drahim Castle and Lucian’s Windmill. A chest aboard the vessel contains the crossbow diagram alongside notes by Professor Sigismund Glogger, which reveal the locations of both the Feline Steel Sword and the Feline Silver Sword.
Recovering the Swords
The Feline Steel Sword diagram lies in the basement of Drahim Castle, just south of Novigrad’s Glory Gate, though players should prepare to contend with a bandit contingent at the entrance. The Feline Silver Sword diagram is hidden within the ruins of Est Tayiar, located to the northeast of Oxenfurt and east of the Vegelbud Residence. Upon entering the ruin, players can shatter a wall to their right using the Aard sign to uncover the diagram.
Once the base armor has been forged—at Crow’s Perch in Novigrad or at the armorers of Kaer Trolde, keeping in mind the level 17 requirement—players can pursue upgrade diagrams to enhance the set through its enhanced, superior, and mastercrafted tiers. The enhanced diagrams are available from Adalbert Kermith’s first and second maps, purchased from a merchant in Blackbough to the west of Crow’s Perch, while the superior diagrams come from Adalbert Kermith’s third map, acquired from the Crow’s Perch quartermaster. The mastercrafted diagrams are sold by Lindenvale’s armorer, east of Crow’s Nest.
Looking Ahead
For those seeking the pinnacle of the Feline set, the Blood and Wine expansion introduces the grandmaster tier. Upon traveling to Toussaint, players can speak with Lazare Lafargue in his armor shop in south Beauclair to begin the “Master Master Master Master!” quest, which leads to the discovery of the grandmaster diagrams.
