Team Jade, the developer behind the free-to-play tactical shooter Delta Force, has officially kicked off the game’s second anniversary with a major content push titled “Season Reorientation,” a live update aimed at reducing friction and giving players more time to focus on the core experience. Announced as the first installment of a broader two-year celebration, the season bundles quality-of-life improvements—such as one-click loadouts, a new in-game loan system called the Combat Support Fund, and a redesigned tutorial—alongside a detailed roadmap that promises Unreal Engine 5–powered maps, a new bomb-defusal mode, and continued growth for the game’s competitive scene. The update goes live today across Delta Force’s full platform lineup, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Android, iOS, Google Play, the Epic Games Store, and Steam.
For the developers, the season represents a deliberate shift toward listening to the community. “Delta Force’s mission has always been to incorporate player feedback to create the best experience possible for its players,” the studio stated. That philosophy is reflected in the roadmap, which Team Jade says is evidence of how the title uses community input to expand the range of ways players can engage while improving the overall experience. The studio has framed the season around a single goal: “reducing friction and giving players more time to do what’s most important: playing the game.”
A Blueprint for the Future
Beyond the immediate updates, the roadmap reveals ambitious plans for 2027. In early 2027, players will explore “Siege: Valkyrie,” a new Operations map built on Unreal Engine 5 technology that transports them to a city divided by a giant wall into two distinct zones—an opulent inner city and a resource-starved outer city—each with its own rules, risks, and rewards. The map introduces a high-stakes Operations experience where players from different difficulty tiers enter the same match for the first time in the title’s history.
Unreal Engine 5 features are also expanding to Warfare mode, with The Mog—the map that launched alongside Season Reorientation—becoming the first map to support them. Additional Warfare maps are scheduled to arrive in November, with further maps and gameplay modes planned throughout the year.

New Modes, Lore, and eSports Momentum
Among the most anticipated additions is “Detonation,” a new bomb-defusal mode entering beta on September 27th for PC and mobile players worldwide, with console access to follow later in the year. The mode pits two teams against each other in a race for control, where attackers must plant a bomb and defenders must hold their ground or sprint to defuse it before it detonates.
For lore enthusiasts, the first volume of “Operator Archives”—a story series exploring the backgrounds of Delta Force’s favorite Operators—is available today, with “Operator Quarters,” a dedicated space for customization and socializing, planned for early 2027.
The competitive scene is equally in motion. RISE Series 1 concluded in August, with regional titles won by Dark Entities (EMEA) and Evil Geniuses (US). The expanded RISE Series Season 2 is now underway, and the Delta Force invitational is set to arrive at DreamHack Stockholm from November 27-29—marking the game’s first major offline event outside of Asia.
Looking Ahead
Season Reorientation itself is packed with refinements for both casual and competitive players. Operations mode receives Layali Grove 2.0, which introduces expanded river areas, new exploration activities, and a fishing progression system with map-specific catches that can be displayed in a Collection Room aquarium. The intense side of Operations also sees “play-as-a-boss” return in Polaris Patrol, where players can take on the role of the Security Director Desmoulins in a reworked, more balanced encounter.
In Warfare, the new map The Mog brings a convoy escort experience inspired by Black Hawk Down, featuring G.T.I. and Haavk forces vying for control of a defecting Skynet engineer, with Black Hawk helicopters that players can deploy onto and operate directly.
With its ever-expanding eSports scene and two-year milestone, Delta Force is continuing to evolve with its community, implementing player feedback while adding new ways to make the most of the game.
