These flying genma are familiar foes, but their aerial nature presents a new level of challenge. While the game marks their general locations with notebook icons on the map, pinpointing their exact positions requires keen observation and strategic positioning.

Kubi Akari #1

Begin your hunt near the Nijo-jo Castle Entrance Spirit Mirror on the south side of the map. The first Kubi Akari is flying over the buildings and between the trees in front of the bridge. If you can’t immediately spot it, wait a moment as it may be obscured by foliage.

The notebook icon for the second Kubi Akari is positioned directly over the bridge. However, this target is actually located under the bridge. To achieve a clear shot, move forward off the bridge, turn right, and position yourself between some stalls on the right side of the street. From this vantage point, look southeast towards the bridge to find your target.

To locate the third Kubi Akari, head north into the area near the bridge. To actually find and engage this flying genma, climb the ladder on the right side of the street and look west over the buildings across the street.
Kubi Akari #4

For the fourth Kubi Akari, continue heading north and climb a ramp to reach the roof. Instead of turning left and leaving the building, stay on the corner of the roof and look north. You’ll see the Kubi Akari flying around near another genma.

To find the fifth and final Kubi Akari more quickly, travel to the Nue Pond Spirit Mirror on the north side of the map. From there, head south to find a gate. Beside it, there’s a ladder. Use it to reach a platform from where you can see the corner of the building on the right side. Between the walls, you will find the Kubi Akari. You can only hit it from this specific platform.
