IGN Fan Fest: Fall Edition is running all week with first-looks, exclusive reveals and deep dives into major games for PC, consoles and mobile. Among the announcements are nine newly revealed titles spanning co-op survival, horror, relaxing farming sims and a chess-based shooter.
The list below covers nine new games that IGN says are worth a look.

Akiiwan: Relaxing Survival
In Akiiwan, players guide their character through a survival adventure with a talking campfire as mentor. During the day you explore, craft, fish and hunt; each night you ask your fire three questions and must choose wisely. The hand-drawn world holds surprises beyond winter, and the game can be played in cozy or realistic mode.
Aquamorta
Aquamorta is a first-person horror adventure set in a forgotten swamp town where something ancient has twisted residents into hysteria. Players explore abandoned buildings and corrupted waterways using an old map and compass, fishing for the blood that keeps their airboat running while uncovering what happened to those who went missing.
Checkmate Protocol
Checkmate Protocol is a chess-themed third-person shooter featuring unique weapons, chess-inspired movement abilities and boss battles. Players can fight solo or team up using rifles, handguns and chainsaws against waves of attackers. It is coming soon to Steam.
Crown Must Hold
In Crown Must Hold, players combine empires rather than towers. Each empire has its own buildings and rules for working together; taking them into a procedurally generated frontier lets players equip items that steer the run and amplify builds with claimed biomes as they expand.
A five-region campaign unlocks a new empire, biome and castle with every region cleared before opening into Endless Mode. Pushing out for resources gives the undead a longer front to attack along.
Paper Perjury 2: Shadow of Justice
Paper Perjury 2: Shadow of Justice returns players to Azure City, where they join Justina in solving one of its biggest mysteries yet. The detective visual novel is a follow-up to Paper Perjury by Paper Cat Pelit and is coming soon to PC.
Rotten Crown
Rotten Crown is described as a twisted real-time settlement manager. Players grow their kingdom, turn opposition into workers and balance the needs of humans and zombies while making decisions no respectable ruler would admit to.
Silk & Sorrow
Silk & Sorrow is a hand-drawn dark fantasy co-op adventure built for two players. It follows orphans Silk and Sorrow, who enter the Chrysalis—a hidden world where everything humanity has discarded ends up—and must explore its haunted landscape, survive its horrors and bring light back to the realm.
The game supports both couch and online co-op, requiring players to communicate, solve problems and trust one another. It is coming to PC via Steam, with Chapter 1 releasing as a demo in Winter 2027.
Splizards
In Splizards, players float through the cosmos on a meteor as a Splizard in a cooperative survival adventure. Drifting resources are gathered to craft tools and expand the meteor into a traveling base while swarms of space mosquitoes and powerful monsters guard the secrets of survival.
The Forge: Steel Frontier
The Forge: Steel Frontier is a mech action game that places players in the cockpit as mercenary pilot Ivan, fighting alongside a mech-with-a-soul called Machine Spirit. When Dormant Dragon holds a strange and rare mineral and wolves come for the ore, players and their mech must choose while the planet’s fate hangs in the balance.
