Street Fighter League has two big days this weekend, as the Americas season starts on Oct. 23, and the EMEAA playoffs take place in London a day later. Both leagues now have 8BitDo as their presenting sponsor, and the controller maker is bringing promotions, product showcases, and activities for fans to both, along with its new Arcade Controller Pro.
The EMEAA playoffs are part of MCM Comic Con London on Oct. 24, so anyone with a Saturday ticket can watch them for free, and they’ll also stream on Capcom Fighters’ Twitch and YouTube channels. It’s the league’s first season since it grew from SFL: Pro-Europe into EMEAA and added teams and players from Asia. Only four of its six teams made it this far, with MOUZ and Team Falcons missing out.
GTW finished the regular season in first place after beating MOUZ 30-10 on the final day, so Xian, Zhen, Hope, and Bravery go straight to the Grand Final and get to watch everyone else fight for the other spot. MVS and Yesports play first, and the winner takes on Red Dunes, which has the entire roster that won the league last year. AngryBird, Big Bird, Phenom, and JuicyJoe won SFL: Pro-Europe 2025 together as Ninjas in Pyjamas. They jumped from third to second on the last day of the regular season by beating Yesports 40-0, so if Yesports gets past MVS, it’ll get a rematch with the team that shut it out in September.
Street Fighter League: Americas starts its regular season on Oct. 23 with six teams: Bandits, FlyQuest, Shopify Rebellion, 2GAME, Red Rooster, and Bait. Bandits are the defending champions after beating FlyQuest 70-10 in last year’s final, back when the league was called SFL: Pro-US, but players from both of those teams have moved around since then. Chris Tatarian, who won the title with Bandits, now plays for Bait alongside iDom, JAK, and ChrisCCH. FlyQuest’s former captain Punk left for Shopify Rebellion, so FlyQuest goes into the season with Riddles, Samurai, JB, and Bloo.
8BitDo is the Chinese company behind a long line of retro-style gamepads, and in July 2025, it released the Arcade Controller, a leverless controller that uses buttons for movement instead of a stick. Last December, it made a signature edition of that controller with FGC veterans Vxbao and Zhen, who now play for Team Falcons and GTW in the EMEAA league. The Arcade Controller Pro is a more advanced version of the same controller, and pre-orders are already open.
