007 First 라이트 is one of the most well-reviewed games of 2026, with IGN giving it a 9 out of 10 and praising it for being a smart yet faithful evolution of the beloved spy franchise.
“Demonstrably obsessed with bringing the Bond fantasy to life in a way no game has ever managed before, developer IO Interactive has found a highly successful home for the more curated action-stealth formula of 2012’s Hitman: Absolution,” reads an excerpt from IGN’s review. “Patiently paced, First 라이트 is brimming with Bond’s trinity of gadgets, guns, and girls in a way that feels fresh but reverent, and never like parody.”
007 First 라이트 has sold over 4 million copies as of August 2026 and will presumably rack up a few more copies sold throughout the holiday season, especially if it scores some end-of-year awards. IO Interactive has also released some free post-launch updates for the game to encourage players to revisit it and is planning to drop a new story DLC before the end of the year. Next year, Nintendo Switch 2 fans will also have the opportunity to play the game when it is ported over to the console in March.
