Take‑Two has repeatedly affirmed its confidence in the current launch window, yet the same assurances have been offered before each prior date shift, leaving some uncertainty.

Take‑Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, is set to unveil its financial results on August 7. That disclosure will provide a critical check on whether GTA 6 remains on track and free of unforeseen hiccups. Industry watchers also speculate that a fresh trailer or in‑depth gameplay footage could surface in the coming hours, further stoking pre‑orders and delivering impressive metrics.

Mike York, a former Rockstar animator who regularly comments on GTA 6 developments, cautions that, drawing from his experience with GTA 5, Rockstar could delay the project again—though he admits he has no privileged insight into the current status.

According to the developer, should the final stages reveal an unsatisfactory mission or a surge of unforeseen bugs, Rockstar is prepared to push the release of GTA 6 back by an additional six months, asserting that such a delay would not significantly harm the company.
