Parenting can be overwhelming, a constant stream of anxieties about everything from sharp cutlery to potential snake encounters in the woods. It’s easy to get lost in worries, even ridiculous ones like whether your child’s favorite toy will break their heart.
Finding Solace in 게임
Luckily, I wasn’t alone. My wife is wise and kind, and together we navigated those early years. And as my daughter grew, so did my understanding of the world, even if it meant confronting some uncomfortable truths about myself. This journey led me to an unexpected source of comfort: games.
One game in particular, Grow 홈, became a touchstone for me. It’s a platformer about a little robot climbing a beanstalk, and it perfectly captures the anxieties of parenthood.
Grow 홈 is more than just a game; it’s an empathetic exploration of safety and curiosity. The developers even included a “Magic Beach” where lost items reappear, a clever solution that allowed players to overcome their anxieties and enjoy the experience fully.
This realization was profound. 게임 aren’t just about simulating danger; they offer a safe space to explore randomness and disaster, encouraging experimentation and resilience. They provide a sense of control and beauty in a world that often feels chaotic.
My daughter eventually moved on from games, finding her own passions. But for me, games remain a source of comfort and perspective. They remind me of the generosity and insight I’ve received from countless creators, and they offer a reminder that even in the face of uncertainty, there is always beauty to be found.
