The key here is that the new rendering features provide more hardware headroom for those gorgeous new assets and textures. “With the newer rendering engine, many of the systems just work faster. So we are just capable of showing a more beautiful image with the same cost, and this is also the case for the Nintendo Switch 2, which is coming together with the Remaster as well.” This means you can enjoy those enhanced visuals without sacrificing performance on your Steam Deck.
Lessons Learned: A Polished Experience
It’s clear that CD Projekt has learned from past experiences. The rocky launch of Cyberpunk 2077 served as a harsh lesson, and the developers are now boasting about the optimizations they’ve implemented to ensure a smoother experience. You’ll be able to immerse yourself in some cozy, lo-fi monster slaying in the windswept, freshly-beautified White Orchard without worrying about crippling frame drops.
