Grand Theft Auto VI has finally arrived on Netflix, and alongside the stunning visuals and sprawling open world, we’ve received confirmation of something truly heartwarming: dogs! And not just any dogs – interactive companions that you can actually pet, feed, and even… well, scold. Prepare for some serious tail-wagging moments in Vice City.
A Dog’s Life in Vice City
During a package pickup sequence within an apartment complex, Jason and Lucia encounter a canine resident. True to form, Jason leans down, allowing players the option to pet the dog – a feature that has become increasingly common (and beloved) in modern games. However, two other intriguing options were presented: “Scold” and “Study.”
The “Scold” function is exactly what it sounds like, though its practical application remains to be seen. Could this hint at a deeper dog behavior system? Perhaps scolding can be used to correct unwanted behaviors or train your furry friend. The “Study” option seems directly inspired by Red Dead Redemption 2, where players could observe and learn about various animals in the wild. This suggests that GTA 6 might allow you to study a wider range of creatures, not just dogs.
A New York Times” target=”_blank”>report further detailed that you can purchase dog treats at shops and offer them to your canine companions. This adds another layer of interaction and care for these virtual pets.
