“We look back at our previous games with a critical eye and see where we want to evolve,” explained Rob Nelson, co-studio head at Rockstar North. “A lot of what we do is very iterative — we adjust a lot of things by feel based on what is working and what isn’t.” This suggests that the relationship system could be more complex than previous iterations.

Despite the excitement, GTA 6 has been plagued by leaks in recent weeks. Rockstar Games released a statement acknowledging the situation as “heartbreaking” and assuring fans that they are working hard to deliver an exceptional product.
