Get ready, Gotham fans! LEGO is diving deep into the Batcave with a brand-new set that brings one of the most iconic vehicles to life: the Batmobile from Tim Burton’s 1992 masterpiece, “Batman Returns.” This isn’t just another brick-built replica; it’s a meticulously crafted tribute to a design that continues to captivate audiences.
A Return to Burton Era Cool
The Batmobile from “Batman Returns” is a true standout. Its sleek, elongated silhouette, powerful jet turbine engine, and distinctive bat-wing fins on the rear make it instantly recognizable. This LEGO set captures all those details with 2,269 pieces, offering a challenging and rewarding build experience for experienced LEGO enthusiasts.
But the fun doesn’t stop at just admiring its beauty. This set is packed with Easter eggs and hidden references to the movie, including the tracking device that Penguin attaches to the vehicle. As you build, you’ll uncover these little surprises, adding another layer of enjoyment to the process.
Transform and Conquer
One of the most memorable moments in “Batman Returns” is when Batman needs to squeeze through a tight gap between buildings. Unable to fit, he activates a transformation sequence, turning the Batmobile into the Batmissile! This LEGO set allows you to recreate that iconic moment by pressing a button to disengage the side panels, revealing the Batmissile configuration.
And let’s not forget the minifigure! Included in the set is an exclusive white-eyed version of Michael Keaton’s Batman, complete with new LEGO elements designed specifically for this release. With its thick cowl and cape, it perfectly captures the look of the character as portrayed in the film.
