The premiere of DC’s new animated series, “Lanterns,” has ignited a firestorm of controversy among Green Lantern fans. While the creators anticipated some backlash, the intensity of the reaction to Hal Jordan’s shocking demise in the episode’s finale has been palpable across social media.
