That lesson translates neatly into real life. My father was a real person, and accepting his absence, along with the cold trail of answers, is far more complex than simply logging off a Discord server or uninstalling a game. Even now, the temptation lingers to pull his laptop from the drawer, to dig for a missing clue that might finally illuminate his story. I am convinced, however, that no such clue exists. The challenge remains to resist the lure of endless speculation and to find peace in the gaps.
