DK Challenge drops today; Bananza’s Emerald Rush DLC adds Mario

Today, June 9, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can unlock a fresh Donkey Kong‑themed challenge app at no cost.

Dubbed DK Challenge, the app invites players to tackle a curated selection of trials drawn from across the Donkey Kong franchise.

In a manner reminiscent of how Super Mario Maker blended eras and styles from the Mario universe, DK Challenge offers missions that span the series’ history—from the latest titles like Bananza to the classic roots of Donkey Kong Country.

Note that this is a “limited‑time event” and will remain accessible only until September 1.

To mark the 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros., limited-time content is being introduced to both Donkey Kong Bananza and Emerald Rush, starting today. This new content offers players an opportunity to collect Mario-themed costumes and engage in fresh challenges within the Emerald Rush DLC.

The Emerald Rush DLC content will be unveiled in four sequential waves. It’s important to note that once this event concludes, it will not return, making it a unique opportunity for fans not to miss out.
