Duskbloods Debuts at Nintendo Direct—Play Preview Coming Soon

During the Nintendo Direct on June 9, FromSoft’s upcoming exclusive multiplayer game for the Nintendo Switch 2, titled The Duskbloods, was unveiled to the eager gaming community. Accompanied by a captivating new trailer that offered glimpses of the game’s dark and gritty universe, characters, and ambiance, fans were also pleasantly surprised with an earlier-than-expected release window for the title.

At the conclusion of the trailer, FromSoft revealed that a Closed Network Test for The Duskbloods will commence this summer, granting a select group of players early access to the game before its widespread release.

Announced in conjunction with the unveiling of the Nintendo Switch 2 back in April 2025, The Duskbloods represents FromSoft’s second foray into multiplayer gaming. With support for up to eight players simultaneously, the game will encompass both player-versus-player and player-versus-environment gameplay modes, along with seasonal events and rewards to maintain player interest.

In line with FromSoft’s previous titles, The Duskbloods immerses players in a fantasy world brimming with intricate history that is not immediately disclosed. As a vampire-like creature known as a Duskblood, players will gradually uncover the secrets of this bloodstained realm while customizing and upgrading their characters through the weapons and magic they acquire throughout matches.

FromSoftware’s previous multiplayer venture, Elden Ring: Nightfall, launched a closed‑network test a few months before its live release. If The Duskblood follows the same lead, a sign‑up window should appear shortly, so fans are advised to keep a close eye on the studio’s official X and Instagram feeds for updates.

Since its debut announcement, details about The Duskblood have been as scarce as a blood bank’s depleted reserves. With no official release date announced, the prospect of a closed‑network test is even more unexpected.
