Over a year ago, Electronic Arts (EA) unexpectedly unveiled that a team comprised of former Firaxis members was working on a novel Star Wars game. Known as Zero Company, this title promised to offer XCOM-style turn-based tactics gameplay, allowing players to command a squad of intergalactic professionals. Recent leaks suggest that the release date for this highly anticipated title may have been inadvertently disclosed.
The upcoming Summer Game Fest presentation on Friday is where EA is expected to reveal the gameplay footage for Zero Company, with fans also anticipating a release date announcement. However, the trusted leaker billbil-kun from Dealabs claims to have already uncovered the release details.
According to the leak, Star Wars Zero Company is scheduled for release on August 27, 2026. The game will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, with a standard edition priced at $49.99 and a Deluxe edition at $59.99. Contrary to expectations, there will reportedly be no early access perk associated with the Deluxe edition.
For those unaware of the title, Bit Reactor is developing Star Wars Zero Company in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games. The EA-published game is rumored to be set during the “twilight of the Clone Wars.” It remains to be seen whether base building and management mechanics from the XCOM series will feature in this title as well.
