Digital Eclipse Remasters Six Classic Toy Story Games, Including PS3 Hit

Atari, in partnership with Digital Eclipse, is breathing new life into a beloved lineup of Toy Story titles, revamping classics from the SNES, PlayStation, Game Boy, and even the PlayStation 3.

Both Toy Story: Retro Roundup and the newly remastered Toy Story 3 Complete Edition will launch on October 15 across a wide array of platforms—including the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Digital copies will retail for $25, while a physical two‑game bundle will be available for $40 on all non‑Xbox systems.

The Toy Story 3 Complete Edition is billed as a “modern remaster” of the 2010 title, featuring enhanced graphics, higher resolutions, and smoother performance. The update also brings back content that was previously exclusive to the PS3 version, offering a more comprehensive experience.

In contrast, Toy Story: Retro Roundup! compiles a curated selection of the franchise’s classic games, originally spanning PlayStation, SNES, Game Boy, and other platforms, providing fans with a nostalgic anthology in one package.

The newly curated bundle brings together a nostalgic lineup of classic Disney‑Pixar titles, featuring the original 1995 Toy Story, its 1999 sequel Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue, the 2000 arcade hit Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, the 2001 racing title Toy Story Racer, and a bonus inclusion of the 1998 hit A Bug’s Life.

Each title has been lovingly remastered, now boasting a rewind feature, save‑state support, cheat codes, and comprehensive playthrough videos and guides. Visuals have been upgraded, yet players can still toggle back to the original aesthetic for that authentic retro feel.

Beyond the games themselves, the collection offers a treasure trove of archival material: a curated music player, behind‑the‑scenes interviews, development documents, and rare imagery that dive deep into both the films and their gaming counterparts.
