A more detailed look at the Amazon-backed limited series Blade Runner 2099, along with its dystopian sci-fi setting, was unveiled at New York Comic Con 2026. Attendees at the show’s Blade Runner 2099 panel were treated to a new trailer in person, and both it and a new poster are now available online.
The series stars Hunter Schafer (Euphoria) as Cora and Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All at Once) as Olwen. It is set to premiere on November 25th on Prime Video, with all eight episodes available to stream the same day.
“Fifty years after the events of Blade Runner 2049, Los Angeles has been reborn, just not by humanity,” an official description from Prime Video said. “Cora, a fugitive in a final bid to stop running, takes on one last identity: a Blade Runner. Forced to partner with Olwen, a Replicant days from dying, she hunts down a runaway hiding a truth that could collapse a fragile city.”
The new trailer fills in some of the blanks left by the teaser revealed at San Diego Comic-Con this past July. Set 50 years after Ryan Gosling’s Blade Runner 2049 and 80 years after Harrison Ford’s original movie, it reveals that 10 female and 18 male Replicants have gone missing in the last year.
Amid tense dialogue from Schafer’s character, viewers are told a mysterious “he” is out there who “knows the cure for all Replicants.” The trailer closes with Olwen asking: “I don’t know what you’re doing. Do you?”
The NYCC 2026 trailer offers a closer look into a mystery that fits in with past entries, though how all the pieces come together will only be clear at its November 25, 2026 release date.
