Skybound is launching a new creator-focused imprint called Skybound Visions, which the company announced at New York Comic Con (NYCC) ahead of a slate of titles arriving in 2027.

The imprint will open with Turok: Son of Stone, along with new entries in the Transformers and G.I. Joe franchises, according to a report by Jesse Schedeen for IGN. Skybound described Visions as a line built around standalone stories that let creators reinvent popular characters “in bold and unexpected ways.”

“Skybound Visions pairs beloved comic book characters with the most interesting comic book creators working today, to present their personal takes on these fan-favorites,” Sean Mackiewicz, SVP at Skybound, said in a statement. “Visions is all about surprising creators, surprising characters, and surprising storytelling, and we have plenty more in store for 2027 and beyond.”

The launch titles

Transformers: Bumblebee – Lost Planet, by Tate Brombal and Matt Emmons, is scheduled for release on January 27, 2027. After a Decepticon attack leaves Bumblebee stranded on an uncharted planet, the “weakest of all the Autobots” faces what Skybound calls the biggest mission of his young life—while a secret buried beneath the planet’s surface begins to corrupt its indigenous life.

G.I. Joe: The Island of Dr. Mindbender, by Karl Kerschl and Doug Mahnke, arrives February 2, 2027. With the last team sent to the island never returning, Codename: Flint is called back to active duty to lead a new batch of recruits to the compound of a scientist whose creations have grown “more monstrous.”

Turok: Son of Stone, written by Stephen Graham Jones with art by Leandro Fernández, launches March 10, 2027. After a dig in New Mexico collapses and sends Turok through history into a valley where the Ice Age overlaps an age of dinosaurs, he must find his way back to his son while grappling with “a shifting reality that threatens to consume him.”
