The outpost in Arc Raiders is a new feature that has arrived alongside the game’s “Frozen Trail” update, but establishing your home on the surface of the planet and departing from Speranza requires completing several tasks first.
The system works similarly to a project and can be found under the dedicated outpost tab at the top of the screen when you’re not in a raid. There are three sections that must be completed before the outpost is built.
Research topside living conditions
This task takes place on the Blue Gate map, where players must take a photo of any farmland house around the Ruined Homestead. Players need to make sure they have a camera in their inventory before heading there.

The area is often a hotspot for Arc enemies, with a Leaper, Bastion, or Bombardier usually present in the vicinity.
Reward: Advanced camera blueprint
Gather building materials
This section requires gathering four types of material:
- 3 planks
- 5 sheet metal
- 10 Arc alloy
- 3 advanced electrical components
Reward: Red light stick blueprint
Planks and sheet metal are two new items, but both are common materials that are relatively easy to find. Players can speed through this part by acquiring each material from Celeste at a rate of three assorted seeds each.
Advanced electrical components can be crafted at an upgraded refiner workbench for three wires and two electrical components apiece.
Safeguard the building site
The final section requires completing two objectives:
- Deal 800 damage to flying Arc enemies
- Deal 300 damage to Bullies
Rewards: Hotel chair design, 15 planks, and 5 durable cloths
Pendola Pass is recommended for this task. Skulkers can be found all over the map — players should listen out for their Star Wars droid-esque beeping — while Bullies are typically located in central areas.
If players hear a lot of fighting, there’s a high chance it’s another player or squad taking on a Bully.
Once this section is complete, the outpost can be finished and kitted out with furniture and workbenches. This is also the only way to obtain the research station, which is required for weapon amplification.
