The creator of The Boys, Garth Ennis, is teaming up with director Rob Jabbaz to bring his violent comic Crossed to the screen. According to a report by Gamer24h, the pair have teamed up to adapt one of comics’ most depraved tales.
A new teaser trailer has been released; it was revealed exclusively by Bloody Disgusting and is now available on YouTube.
What is Crossed about?
Produced by Los Angeles-based Six Studios, Crossed follows a group of strangers traveling north to escape the infected known only as “the Crossed.” Unlike lumbering zombie figures, these people are afflicted by a mysterious disease that marks them with a red cross on their foreheads and drives them to act on their worst impulses. As described in the source, the urge is impossible to ignore: the Crossed commit rape, murder, and other atrocities to satisfy themselves before moving on to their next desire.

Ennis wrote the screenplay based on the original 10-issue run of Crossed. He joins Jabbaz with a large cast; Devin Druid (13 Reasons Why) and Ash Santos (American Horror Story) play Stan and Cindy, who lead a ragtag group of survivors.
The ensemble also includes Bob Morley (The 100) as Randall, Steven Hack (Little Death) as Geoff, Ethan Jones Romero (Law & Order) as Thomas, Chido Nwokocha (Top Gun: Maverick) as Kitrick, Spenser Granese (Dope Thief) as Brett, Kyla Hee (Psychosis) as Kelly, and Ana Mulvoy Ten (American Crime) as Sheena. Lorenzo Ross appears in his first acting role as Patrick.
The group encounters the infected’s leader during their journey—a debauched villain called Horsecock, played by Owen Harn (Cobra Kai). The source notes that the reason for the character’s name is worse than viewers might imagine.
No release date has been confirmed beyond “coming soon.”
