S-Game’s ambitious martial arts title Phantom Blade Zero is confirmed to launch on October 29 across PlayStation 5 and Windows PC, following a hands-on preview at the developer’s studio in Beijing, China that recently gave journalists an extended first look at its wire-fu-inspired combat. Playing roughly four hours of the game from its opening through the end of the first chapter — plus two punishing later-game boss encounters — reporters witnessed what S-Game calls “a playable kung fu movie,” a stylish wuxia action title aiming to stake out its own identity in an unusually competitive fall release calendar.

Action game fans have had no shortage of choice in 2026. Romeo Is a Dead Man spotlights blood-soaked hack-and-slash combat, Beast of Reincarnation offers Souls-adjacent parry-focused fighting, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword takes parrying to the extreme with a plethora of defensive options. Phantom Blade Zero looks to carve out its own space among sword-slashing titles by blending simple controls and intense parries with stylish wuxia animations.
