Reebok has unveiled a four-piece sneaker collection inspired by the beloved animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender, revealing designs that reimagine fan-favorite footwear silhouettes through the lens of the show’s iconic characters and elements. Announced this week with a public debut at New York Comic Con over the weekend, the collaboration coincides with the premiere of the next entry in the franchise’s expanding universe and will go on sale online starting October 7.
The collection reinterprets existing Reebok classics, including the Instapump Fury and Club C 85, translating the world of waterbending, firebending, earthbending, and airbending into wearable form. Each colorway draws inspiration from individual characters as well as the Four Nations themselves, offering fans a chance to carry their affection for the series beyond the screen.
A More Refined Palette
In many ways, this collaboration takes a quieter approach than Reebok’s previous shoe collabs. The Appa-inspired design leans heavily toward comfort, featuring plush fur lining throughout and a restrained tan-and-white color scheme that pairs easily with nearly any wardrobe while still nodding to the flying bison’s signature striped fur.
The Aang silhouette stands out as the boldest of the group. Drawing on the Avatar’s original outfit colors, it delivers what many would describe as fire-bending vibes across its dynamic Insta Pump Fury 94 base. The design conceals a full image of Aang in his powerful Avatar state along the inner sole and rounds out the look with a clean lace tag.
The Avatar State Returns
Beyond that standout pair, Reebok has also released an entirely separate “Avatar State” design. This version trades the bold orange backdrop for a softer tan palette accented by touches of blue, while making Aang’s airbending arrow—the character’s defining mark—more prominent than on any other shoe in the lineup.
The entire collection arrives wrapped in limited-edition ATLA-themed packaging, adding another collectible dimension to an already eager fanbase known for hoarding special-release boxes and memorabilia.
“Reebok is thrilled to partner with the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender, bringing the spirit of the Four Nations into everyday style through designs that honor both the characters and the elements they command.”
Reebok
The collaboration arrives at a pivotal moment for the franchise. Seven Havens will serve as the third series in the Avatar universe, following the original hit show and The Legend of Korra. Reebok’s collection draws primarily from the original series, which is currently being adapted into a live-action show streaming on Netflix. That world also welcomed back the original Gaang for a standalone film that drew pretty big fans upon its release.
Looking Ahead
Fans hoping to secure a pair can purchase the collection online beginning October 7, with designs showcased live at NYCC this weekend alongside news of the upcoming Avatar series. As one of the most enduring animated franchises of the past two decades continues its expansion across television and film, Reebok’s latest collaboration offers yet another way for audiences to engage with a world they have grown up loving.
