More than a decade into its run, Final Fantasy 14 has proven itself a master of the crossover event, partnering with fellow Final Fantasy titles, Monster Hunter, and countless other franchises. But none of those collaborations compares to what many consider the game’s strangest yet most inspired partnership: the party game Fall Guys. Square Enix confirmed this week that the beloved multiplayer mayhem is returning to Eorzea for a limited window, kicking off on Oct. 7 at 1:00 a.m. PDT and running through Oct. 27 at 7:59 a.m. PDT.

This marks the fifth iteration of the collaboration, which first launched in 2023 before returning twice in 2024 and once more in 2025. Warriors of Light will have just under three weeks to participate in the festivities, making it one of the longer event windows the partnership has offered.

Climbing Back Into the Arena

To begin participating, players must travel to The Gold Saucer and accept the quest “Just Crowning Around” from the NPC Lewena. Access requires being at least level 15 and having completed the earlier quest “It Could Happen to You.” Returning participants who have finished the event in prior years will be able to immediately resume playing its special Golden Saucer games without repeating prerequisite steps.

The collaboration centers on Blunderville, a mode that mirrors Fall Guys core elimination gameplay. Players battle through three stages of chaotic obstacle-course chaos, with only a single victor emerging from each match. Many of the individual contests are near-exact recreations of those found in the original party game, bringing its wobbly, physics-driven charm into Final Fantasy 14’s world.

Rewards and Rewards

Every completed Blunderville match awards players Manderville Gold Saucer Fame (MGF), with the amount earned scaling to a player’s final rank in each round. That special event currency can then be spent at the MGF Trader located in Blunderville Square, where a wide array of prizes awaits.

Among the most sought-after rewards are a pink bean minion companion, a set of Fall Guys-themed pajamas, and a pair of crowns that mark the wearer as a true champion. A complete breakdown of every prize alongside its required MGF cost is available on the collaboration’s dedicated page.

The party game’s multiplayer shenanigans are returning to Eorzea for a limited time, giving veterans and newcomers alike another chance to compete for crowns in one of Final Fantasy 14’s most beloved crossovers.

Square Enix

The community has long embraced the collaboration as a standout moment in the game’s event calendar. By transplanting Fall Guys‘ accessible, lighthearted competition into Final Fantasy 14’s more traditionally serious MMO framework, Square Enix created an experience that feels both fresh and nostalgic—a rare balance that has helped make each returning iteration a cause for celebration among players.

Looking Ahead

With the event now confirmed to run from Oct. 7 through Oct. 27, players who have been saving their in-game time should plan accordingly. The three-week window provides ample opportunity to grind MGF and unlock coveted cosmetics before the collaboration closes once more—until it inevitably returns for a sixth round down the line.

For those eager to learn every detail ahead of time, Square Enix has maintained a dedicated hub covering all event mechanics, quest steps, and reward tiers. Warriors of Light are encouraged to visit the collaboration’s special site to plan their approach before diving back into Blunderville.
