As of this week, Baldur’s Gate 3 players on PS5 and Xbox Series X can finally cheat in the game through an officially approved toolkit. Larian Studios has cleared Cheater’s Menu for console platforms, a mod created by For_Kiramay that adds a spell to your in-game hotbar; cast it, and an on-screen menu with ten tabs and over 300 options opens at once. The update brings a feature long available to PC players into reach of console owners who previously had no way to access cheats without leaving the platform.

The change resolves a longstanding divide in how Baldur’s Gate 3 was played across systems. Console gamers seeking a more accessible run, or those wanting to jump straight into a late-game fight, can now install Cheater’s Menu through Larian’s in-game mod menu and unlock a wide range of new options. The toolkit lets players spawn any item by name, grant themselves additional spell slots, or even make the game harder by raising enemy health and damage with convenient difficulty steppers.

A Cheat Toolkit Long Reserved for PC

Players on PC have had access to magical shortcuts like these for some time, thanks to Script Extender console commands and Cheat Engine tables, alongside a litany of more user-friendly — albeit a la carte — cheat mods. Since console players can only use mods that clear Larian’s curation, however, a comprehensive cheat toolkit of this scope has remained a PC-only affair for years. The introduction of Cheater’s Menu marks the first time such an expansive option set has been made available to console owners through the official channel.

Larian Studios approved Cheater’s Menu, a mod by For_Kiramay, bringing ten tabs and over 300 options to PS5 and Xbox Series X players for the first time.

Baldur’s Gate 3 update

Among the standout features now available are Dice Rolls +20 and Always Critical Success, which lets players add 20 to their rolls or make every roll a critical success. God Mode grants invulnerability, while Free Respec allows characters to be rebuilt without a trip to Withers in camp. Long Rest In Place delivers the benefits of a long rest without trekking back to the tent, and XP Straight to Max Level hands out experience points with the tap of a button.

Additional options include Waypoint Unlocks for Acts 1-3, which makes fast-traveling available from minute one, and Kill Hostiles Within 40m, which wipes out every enemy NPC in range without harming allies. End Combat instantly pacifies any enemy locked in an encounter before ending it, No Crime Reactions makes pickpocketing and stealing far easier, and All 22 Tadpole Power Spells grants the game’s full set of Illithid abilities on demand.

Looking Ahead

To enjoy the benefits of this new mod, players should boot up Baldur’s Gate 3 on console, open the mod manager from the main menu, look for “Cheater’s Menu,” and enable it. While there, Console players can also try out other recently approved mods, including new subclasses like Dragon Patron, a warlock subclass that lets you breathe fire, and Spell Thief, which lets you learn spells by observing them.

After enabling the mod, load a new game or an existing save, then cast the new Cheater’s Menu spell from your hotbar. Your selected cheats will apply to whichever character you’re controlling, although any XP you accrue will go to your full party. While console players have been rolling the same dice in Baldur’s Gate 3 since 2023, they can now add +20 to every single roll — a change that opens up both easier runs and deliberately punishing challenges for those who want them.
