Marvel and digital comics platform Webtoon announced Monday a major overhaul of how fans read the publisher’s vast library: an all-new Marvel Comics app that will serve as the single home for more than 35,000 digital titles. Launching November 16, the new application replaces the long-running Marvel Unlimited service, which is being retired, and consolidates comics from across Marvel alongside franchises such as Star Wars, Aliens, Predator, Planet of the Apes, Pixar, and Disney Animation into a single subscription.
The partnership marks one of the most significant structural changes to Marvel’s digital reading ecosystem in years. By folding its extensive back catalog into a broader platform already known for series like The Witcher, Critical Role, and Overwatch, the company is positioning comics as part of a wider entertainment library rather than an isolated service.
A New Home For Marvel’s Library
The Marvel Comics app will house more than 35,000 digital comics drawn from Marvel’s own catalog as well as properties owned by the Walt Disney Company. In addition to Star Wars titles, the platform extends into 20th Century Studios franchises including Aliens, Predator, and Planet of the Apes, while also bringing in content from Pixar and Disney Animation for the first time under one roof.
The existing Marvel Unlimited app is being phased out as readers migrate to its successor. Those who currently hold a Marvel Unlimited subscription will be able to transfer their reading history directly into the new application, ensuring continuity across the transition.
We are excited to bring fans a faster, more intuitive, and personalized reading experience, all in one convenient subscription.

Pricing And Subscription Tiers
The base subscription costs $9.99 per month or $69.99 per year, a rate comparable to the current Marvel Unlimited service. Subscribers at this level will receive new issues as soon as three months after they appear in print.
An Ultimate tier is available for $12.49 per month or $99.99 per year, granting access to new issues as early as one month after print. Webtoon and Marvel are also offering a Founder Member pricing structure—a limited-time deal priced at $59.99 for the first year of the Ultimate annual plan.

This Founder Member offer becomes available through pre-registration starting Monday on marvel.webtoon.com, with additional availability on site at New York Comic Con 2026, giving early adopters a chance to lock in reduced pricing before standard rates apply.
New Features And Reading Tools
The application will launch across mobile devices and web browsers, according to the joint announcement from Webtoon and Marvel. Readers can expect personalized discovery tools including a dynamic cover-scroll interface, tailored recommendations based on their interests, and an updated smart panel feature designed for smooth reading on mobile screens.
A new Pull List function allows fans to surface fresh issues from series, characters, and creators they follow. Readers can browse upcoming releases throughout the month and manually add specific issues to their Pull List, giving them finer control over what arrives in their library as it becomes available.
Looking Ahead
The Marvel Comics app is scheduled to launch on November 16, replacing Marvel Unlimited once readers complete their migration. With the transition now confirmed and Founder Member pricing already open for pre-registration, fans have an opportunity to secure discounted access ahead of the full rollout.
As Webtoon integrates Marvel’s extensive catalog alongside its existing roster of licensed series, the move signals a broader consolidation of digital comics under one platform—reshaping how millions of readers discover and follow their favorite stories in the years to come.
