Nintendo has unveiled a new LEGO set honoring Link and Epona from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, timed to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the franchise and the upcoming return of the beloved game. Announced during today’s Zelda Anniversary Direct, the set will memorialize the Hero of Time and his trusty steed in brick form when it launches in spring 2027.

The set captures adult Link seated atop Epona, wielding the Master Sword and Hylian Shield as the horse rears back into a dramatic pose. The composition deliberately evokes Jacques-Louis David’s iconic painting Napoleon Crossing the Alps, lending an air of grandeur to the miniature diorama. Based on the released imagery, both figures appear to feature posable leg joints, allowing fans to recreate their favorite poses.

A Dramatic Tribute in Bricks

The Link and Epona set is built from 1,750 pieces, placing it between Nintendo’s recent LEGO Zelda offerings in scale. While details such as the exact price have not yet been revealed, the smaller footprint suggests it will be more affordable than its predecessors. The figures showcase careful attention to detail, with Link rendered in his signature green tunic and Epona captured mid-rear, creating a dynamic scene that fans can display on any shelf.

Nintendo is celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda by bringing some of its most iconic characters to life in LEGO form. Link and Epona have become symbols of adventure across generations, and we’re thrilled to let fans rebuild these cherished moments.

A Growing Partnership with Notable Predecessors

The new set follows a fruitful collaboration between Nintendo and LEGO that has produced several standout titles in recent years. Earlier this year, the two companies released Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle, a 1,003-piece set depicting Link and Zelda dueling Ganon in a recreation of the game’s iconic ultimate boss fight. That set carried a price tag of $129.99.

Before that came an even more ambitious offering: the Deku Tree set, a roughly 2,500-piece mega build priced at around $300. The elaborate construction proved so popular that it sold out and has since been retired. Given its smaller scale, the Link and Epona set appears positioned as a more accessible entry point into Nintendo’s LEGO Zelda lineup.

The Remake Driving the Announcement

Nintendo is celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda by bringing some of its most iconic characters to life in LEGO form. Link and Epona have become symbols of adventure across generations, and we’re thrilled to let fans rebuild these cherished moments.

The announcement arrives as Ocarina of Time receives a full remake treatment. Nintendo showcased the first major gameplay footage during today’s Zelda Anniversary Direct, revealing a far more realistic yet still stylized aesthetic alongside an extensive list of gameplay adjustments. In a nostalgic callback near the end of the trailer, child Link plays Epona’s Song on his Ocarina to summon his trusty steed.

The Ocarina of Time remake is scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, while the LEGO The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – Link & Epona set will be available starting spring 2027. Fans eager to own both the rebuilt adventure and its brick counterpart can look forward to two major milestones in the coming months.
