Paramount+ Unveils Blockbuster NYCC Lineup as Star Trek, Dexter, and Avatar Panels Take Center Stage

IGN can exclusively reveal that Paramount+ has confirmed a heavyweight lineup of panels for the event, which returns October 8-11 in New York City. Among the marquee attractions are first looks, cast conversations, and exclusive reveals for three of the network’s most beloved franchises: the crime drama Dexter: Resurrection, the animated series Avatar: Seven Havens, and the sci-fi revival Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. The announcement also highlights the presence of two of Hollywood’s most recognizable names — William Shatner and Michael C. Hall — who will appear at the convention to discuss their respective projects.

For Paramount+, the convention serves as a strategic showcase of its content slate, capitalizing on the momentum of its flagship franchises while celebrating major anniversaries. The Dexter: Resurrection panel, scheduled for Thursday, October 8, from 12:30 to 2:00pm ET on the Main Stage, marks the franchise’s landmark 20th anniversary and will offer an exclusive preview of the upcoming second season. The conversation will be moderated by Josh Horowitz and feature the series’ core cast — Michael C. Hall, Uma Thurman, James Remar, Jack Alcott, Bokeem Woodbine, and Krysten Ritter — alongside showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips, executive producers Scott Reynolds and Marcos Siega.

A Living Tribute to Two Decades of Dexter

Beyond the panel, Paramount+ is set to present a limited-time Dexter 20th Anniversary Museum Experience at Chelsea Industrial, running October 9-11. The immersive installation will showcase iconic props, recreations, and interactive moments spanning the franchise’s 20-year history, with photo opportunities for attendees. Free tickets are available for reservation, and a standby line will operate daily. Meanwhile, Avatar: Seven Havens, which premieres on Friday, October 9, will be celebrated with a panel on the Main Stage from 11:15am to 12:15pm ET. Executive producers Michael Dante DiMartino, Bryan Konietzko, Ethan Spaulding, and Sehaj Sethi will join cast members Saheli Khan (“Pavi”), Aishu Devan (“Nisha”), and Major Curda (“Jae”) in a session moderated by original voice of Korra, Janet Varney. The discussion will offer an exclusive look at the series’ production and provide news on what lies ahead for the Avatar Legends Universe.

Bending, Fighting, and Bending Again

The Avatar celebration extends well beyond the panel. Attendees will be able to test their bending skills at the Avatar Legends-themed Paramount+ booth, which will feature photo opportunities and swag, including exclusive footwear in collaboration with Reebok. Paramount Games will also host a special Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game event at OS: NYC on Friday, October 9, complete with activations such as a Four Nations Food Cart, a high-stakes tournament with special prizes, and additional giveaways.

Star Trek Marks Its 60th Year

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy will bring fans an exclusive sneak peek and conversation about its upcoming second season at the Empire Stage on Saturday, October 10, from 3:15 to 4:15pm ET. The panel will feature series star Holly Hunter alongside Sandro Rosta, Bella Shepard, Karim Diané, and Robert Picardo, joined by co-showrunners and executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau. The session will also honor Star Trek’s 60th anniversary with a special conversation with William Shatner, the legendary actor who portrayed Captain James T. Kirk.
