[Get ready for a Nintendo avalanche! Leaks reveal brand-new entries in beloved franchises.]
The gaming world is buzzing with excitement as a prominent leaker has dropped bombshells about Nintendo’s upcoming slate. Malo932, known for accurate predictions, claims that Nintendo is working on a completely new Super Smash Bros. game and a revival of the charming Nintendogs franchise. This news comes hot on the heels of Malo932 correctly predicting two Direct presentations this week, and previously revealing plans for a classic Star Fox, a Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, and a new Switch Sports title – all of which have since been confirmed.
A New Era for Smash Bros.
The prospect of a brand-new Super Smash Bros. game is incredibly thrilling for fans of the fighting game series. While Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was a massive success on Nintendo Switch (selling over 38 million copies and becoming the console’s third best-selling title), the idea that Nintendo is developing a completely new installment, rather than just an enhanced version of Ultimate, is a bold move. The question now is how Nintendo plans to top such an ambitious undertaking.

Nintendogs Returns After Over a Decade
The announcement of a new Nintendogs game is another welcome surprise, especially considering the franchise hasn’t seen a release since Nintendogs + Cats on 3DS back in 2011. Fans have been clamoring for a return to this heartwarming virtual pet experience, and Nintendo seems poised to deliver.

Mario Kart DLC Featuring Fox McCloud
Beyond Smash Bros. and Nintendogs, Malo932, compiled by Centro Leaks, also claims that a Mario Kart DLC is coming next year featuring none other than Fox McCloud! This would be an incredibly exciting addition to the already expansive roster of racers in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Other rumored titles include a new Star Fox Adventures game, a new Wario Land game, and a long-awaited 2D Metroid title. And, as previously speculated, a brand-new 3D Mario game is also reportedly on the horizon for next year.

Confirmed Leaks and Future Revelations
Many of these claims have been corroborated by NatetheHate, another well-known Nintendo leaker whose accurate prediction of the Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake generated significant buzz earlier this year. NatatheHate has a strong track record with Nintendo leaks, previously accurately predicting the Switch 2’s reveal date. It seems Nintendo now has two reliable sources leaking information about its upcoming product pipeline.
Nintendo’s Frustration and Fan Speculation
Two former Nintendo staff members recently revealed that Nintendo was likely “furious” about the leaks of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and other surprises over the past six months. The company relies heavily on its ability to surprise fans as a key part of its marketing strategy. However, now it seems fans have a good idea of what’s coming from Nintendo well into next year.
