Just Dance Leak Hints at Upcoming Nintendo Direct
The gaming community has been buzzing with anticipation for Nintendo’s plans leading up to the 2026 holiday season. Now, a significant leak involving Ubisoft’s upcoming “Just Dance: Decades of Hits” is fueling speculation that we might not have much longer to wait for an official announcement. The leak itself saw gameplay footage circulating online, prompting an official statement from the game’s X account.
Instead of simply addressing the leak, Ubisoft provided players with a specific date when they can expect a proper, official look at the game: September 10th. “We’re committed to sharing the complete picture with you on September 10, and we sincerely thank you for your patience and continued support in the meantime,” the statement reads.
As highlighted by Nintendo Everything, “Just Dance” titles have a history of appearing during Nintendo Directs. Last year’s “Just Dance 2026 Edition” was announced during a summer presentation. Furthermore, Nintendo often premieres a Nintendo Direct just before the Tokyo Game Show, which kicks off on September 17th this year.
Therefore, the September 10th date is looking increasingly likely, especially when considering Nintendo’s established patterns. We’re expecting confirmation of this date by September 9th at the latest, as Nintendo typically announces a Direct with approximately 24 hours notice. Even without factoring in any potential surprises Nintendo might be saving for later in the year or the first half of 2026, the company already has two highly anticipated exclusive games that fans are eagerly awaiting more details and release dates for: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake and From Software’s The Duskbloods.
Both titles are slated to release in 2026 but currently lack official release dates. In the case of “Zelda,” we know very little about the remake beyond a brief teaser that lacked any gameplay footage, leading fans to wildly speculate on every detail revealed so far. It’s safe to assume Nintendo’s next Direct will provide fans with a more in-depth look.
