In a statement on the PS Blog, Technical Producer Si Lumb highlighted that players can expect a noticeably crisper image right from the moment F1 25 launches with the 2026 Season Pack.
This enhancement will be reflected across all three of the simulator’s graphical settings—Quality, Performance, and Resolution—ensuring a consistent upgrade for every player.
Sony’s upcoming PlayStation 5 update promises a dual‑mode visual experience: the Quality mode delivers smooth 60 fps gameplay enhanced with full ray tracing, while the Performance mode pushes an impressive 120 Hz on compatible displays, such as Sony’s newly unveiled 27‑inch PlayStation monitor.
For those with ultra‑high‑definition setups, the resolution target is set at a sharp 8K, ensuring that every pixel is crisp and detailed on the right hardware.
To refine the image quality, the update incorporates PSSR2, Sony’s latest internal upscaling technology. Since its March debut, the solution has matched the leading AI‑based upscalers on the market, promising noticeably cleaner visuals.
In a notable shift from the traditional annual releases by Codemasters and EA Sports, the upcoming DLC will bring a comprehensive overhaul. It will feature all standard rule adjustments, roster updates, and the addition of the new Madring circuit, offering players fresh content and competitive balance.
