According to credible sources, Nintendo is set to unveil a new Nintendo Direct presentation in the upcoming week.

This information was shared by Nate the Hate, a trusted insider, in his recent YouTube video. He asserted that the event will occur imminently, stating, “We are in June and there is a strong possibility of a Direct in the near future.”

The announcement has sparked curiosity among gamers about Nintendo’s 2026 plans, following releases such as Star Fox, Rhythm Heaven, and Splatoon Raiders. The anticipation is high for insights into what the rest of 2026 holds for Nintendo.

Analysis: This upcoming Nintendo Direct presentation could potentially provide significant updates on Nintendo's future plans, offering valuable insights to gamers and industry analysts alike.

Nate the Hate further clarified that, based on his sources, the event is scheduled for the second week of June, specifically from the 8th.

Prepare for an anticipated event as Nintendo might be hosting a Direct next week, marking a nine-month gap since the last major general Nintendo Direct in September 2025, which celebrated the 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. Since then, there have been nine presentations, including Partner Showcases, Indie Worlds, Pokémon Presents, and single release focuses such as Kirby Air Riders, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, Star Fox, and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

At present, only a few upcoming first-party Switch 2 titles have been officially confirmed. Among these, only Rhythm Heaven Groove is slated for release on the original Switch, starting July 2. As for the Switch 2 titles, Star Fox is scheduled for June 25, Splatoon Raiders is due on July 23, and Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is expected later this year.
